Pet-friendly Places in Liverpool
Here at Essential Liverpool we are fond of dogs, Bobby our shar-pei friend and mascot has almost 4000 followers on Instagram.
So how does Liverpool fare as a place to take your dog with you when you go out? Pretty good actually, there are more than a few places you can take your canine friend with you when you want to grab a bite to eat or a quiet pint. Here‘s a few to be going on with.
Cains Brewery, L8 5XJ

Liverpool’s first street food market, Baltic Market, have earned themselves a reputation as an independent scene with both locals and tourists alike. Based in the old Cain’s Brewery it is not only a haunt for foodies, it’s also a place for dogs. Take your four-legged friend with you, grab yourself a coffee, or a pint, or something to eat from loads of independent, top end stalls. Watch out for the staff, they’ll spend more time stroking your dog than serving you.
Dale St, Liverpool L2 5TF

The Dead Crafty Beer Company is a family run place, which specialises in craft beers from around the globe. The bar is a stripped back affair, with exposed brickwork and the original wooden flooring, creating a lovely relaxed atmosphere for everyone to enjoy. Including your dog, and if you haven’t got one of your own, Dolly, the Tibetan terrier can sometimes be seen pottering about this dog-friendly bar.
22 Caledonia Street, L7 7DX

The Cali not only has a vegan kitchen, but it’s got a community library and a free space upstairs for parties. This is the definition of a people’s pub. It’s a watering hole for both young and old and what makes it even better, is that you can bring your dog in with you, even big ones.
117 Allerton Road, L18 2DD

The Interesting Eating Co on Allerton Road, is a quirky little place serving innovative and interesting food 7 days a week; speciality pancakes, waffles and Ultimate Shakes along with signature dishes such as chicken soup and salt beef sandwiches. They have doggy bowls outside full of water and treats, a great place to stop off after a walk around Calderstones Park.
79 Seel Street, L1 4BB
Dogs love sausages, people love sausages. Salt Dog Slim’s is a match made in heaven. At night, one of Seel Street’s best clubs but a great place to window watch the world go by; with your dog of course.

Keep your eye open for more when you’re out for walkies.
