World Museum Liverpool is a fantastic family day out with over five free floors explore.
The aquarium can show you many weird and wonderful creatures of the deep. Beautiful colours from far away reefs or other fish that are a little closer to home.
Next comes another natural world in the Clore Natural History Centre and Bug House. See all kinds of creepy crawlies that are sure to send a shiver down your spine. Get closer than you ever dreamed of to spiders, fly’s, scorpions and centipedes without having to run away in terror.
Come face to face with life-size casts of the skeletons of ferocious dinosaurs! See the Allosaurus about to attack the defenceless plant-eater Camptosaurus, both from the Jurassic rocks of the American Mid-West. Explore sandstone slabs that line the walls with the footprints of extinct reptiles and enter a time tunnel to see how life has changed through geological time. When you reach the end you will find bones of mammoths and cave bears of the Pleistocene Ice Age.
If animals aren’t your sort of thing then fear not, as you can journey through space and time with scientific instruments and the Planetarium. Unleash the galactic explorer in you and learn all about the sun, moon, planets and stars.
There are also two cafés and two shops.
