The Cavern Club is one of the most iconic venues in the world and is the cradle of British pop music.

This is the place where The Beatles identity was formed, and has become a platform for countless other aspiring Liverpool artists.

Its success is due to its ethos, although the Cavern Club has witnessed many changes in its decade’s long history, the essence of the club has remained the same: to showcase new and upcoming bands, established artists and to preserve the incredible legacy of The Beatles.

Throughout history, form its beginnings in the 50’s, playing jazz music from the burgeoning Liverpool culture, through the Mersey Beat and Beatles era where it was the most publicised pop venue in the world, to present day, as it now features the latest and greatest 21st century indie music.

This is a venue that is truly legendary. If you’re from the city and you haven’t been, then you are denying a large part of what makes our city unique. And if you’re a tourist visiting Liverpool, this should always feature as one of the first places to go.

Every night there’s a new reason to head down there and check it out, and no two nights are ever the same. With free entry Monday – Wednesdays and only a small admission charge Thursday the rest of the week, if you’re in Liverpool and you haven’t been to the Cavern Club, make it you’re number one priority now or face the consequences.

The Cavern Club is also part of three separate Liverpool tours; the Magical Mystery Tours, Visit Liverpool tour and Private Beatles Tours, so if you’d like to see the Cavern Club as well as other parts of the city with a Beatles influence, then that is an option.
