Located in the magical surroundings of Liverpool’s Calderstones Park, The Storybarn creates a thrilling world of imagination where children can embark on a literary adventure with live-reading from their friendly Story Hunters, lots of exciting crafts and games, and a giant slide!
During term-time, they host school sessions Tuesday to Thursday. Their public Storyhunters sessions run every Friday at 10am, 12noon and 2pm and on Saturdays and Sundays at 10am, 12noon, 2pm and 4pm.
The Storybarn is fully accessible, with level access at their main entrance and lift access to their first floor Imaginarium. Their Storyhunters sessions is a fully inclusive experience and all children are welcome. This will involve spending time in The Storybarn but also in the surrounding park area if you have any specific access questions get in touch ahead of your visit.
The Storyhunters is a family experience, children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. This includes time spent in The Storybarn and hunting for story clues in Calderstones Park.
Nobody likes a sticky book, so please don’t bring any food or drinks into The Storybarn. You can always visit The Reader Café or Ice Cream Parlour before or after your session to grab a refreshment.
The Storyhunters is an indoor / outdoor experience, so make sure you check the forecast and dress appropriately for your adventure. Whether it’s wellies and a scarf or suncream and a hat The Storyhunters are always prepared!
