Liverpool Canoe Club is one of the most active canoeing and kayaking clubs in the country and has been awarded gold top club status by the British Canoe Union and Canoeing England. It is the only club in the North of England to receive the Award.
If you are a novice or new to the sport then the best way to start would be to join one of their introductory courses which run every month in the summer (normally 3 evenings with 6 hours of coaching) or you could also start by booking a pool session at Kingsway or Broadgreen.
As a full member of the club, you are covered for third party liability while paddling with the club. If trips or sessions are advertised, individuals will need to make sure that they are suitably experienced for the trip or event. The coordinator should be able to give some guidance and all events will have maximum numbers.
Each year the club runs a trip to the French Alps for two weeks of Alpine paddling. Numerous courses are organised for members (both internal and externally)
A large number of kayaks are available at both the pool and the docks for members to use.
